Jason Finally Came Face To Face With His Mini Me On General Hospital
The meeting everyone has been waiting for finally happened.
General Hospital fans have been eager for Jason to meet the man who took his place while he was away, and the moment finally came during the April 30, 2024 episode.
Meeting Of The Minds
The episode began with a mystery figure walking into a Port Charles bar, but eagle-eyed viewers would never miss that leather jacket sleeve. As soon as Dex (Evan Hofer) got his beer, he turned around and was halted by a stonecold Jason (Steve Burton, who recently reminisced about some of his favorite GH scenes).
When Jason introduced himself, Dex immediately told him he knew who he was and asked what he wanted. “It’s about Sonny (Maurice Benard),” Jason simply said.
Dex didn’t back down in front of Sonny’s former righthand man, asserting he plans to become a cop if he gets into the police academy. That was when Jason assured him he wasn’t there on Sonny’s orders, but rather Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy).

The two spoke about Dex’s former work with Sonny and the mobster’s business dealings with Pikeman. “Sonny knows better than to target a cop… or he should,” Jason told him, informing him he promised Joss he wouldn’t let Sonny kill him.
Later, Anna (Finola Hughes) showed up at the bar to meet with Jason and when Dex figured whatever was going on was above his pay grade, not that he has one, Anna whipped out an envelope, saying, “Actually… you do.” Dex opened the letter congratulating him on being accepted into the police academy and Anna assured him he earned his spot.
