GH Spoilers Weekly Update: Sonny’s On Edge As Worry and Danger Lurk

Sonny (Maurice Benard) had a job for Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and then gave him advice about Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) mother, Natalia (Eva LaRue), surprised her with an early visit and she found Kristina (Kate Mansi) in her daughter’s bed. At first, they said she was a friend but then Blaze came out to her mom (read LaRue’s take on her character here). Nina (Cynthia Watros) sought out Ava’s (Maura West) help but then Sonny showed up. Carly (Laura Wright) was wary of John (Adam J. Harrington), who told her about the threats to area mob bosses. Curtis (Donnell Turner) encouraged Drew (Cameron Mathison).

Nina tried to defend her actions to Sonny and said she never stopped loving him. He said he hadn’t stopped loving her either and that’s why her betrayal hurt so much. He said he could forgive but not forget. He told her she has to deal with the consequences of her actions. Drew opened up to Carly but she tried to get him to let go of his hatred for Nina. She told him he had to make the choice to let go of his hatred of Nina. He chose Carly, and the two made love (read about this and other couples’ futures here). Blaze had a defining moment with her mother. She told Kristina she didn’t regret what she did but didn’t expect her mother to ever come around. Maxie and Spinelli got closer and he admitted his pipes were never a problem. Maxie didn’t take it well because she felt manipulated and threw him out.

Tracy (Jane Elliot), Lois (Rena Sofer), and Maxie help Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) find a wedding dress. Chase (Josh Swickard) needed to clear something up when he got a text from the Quartermaine lawyers asking him to sign a prenup. Carly told Sonny about her run-in with John and realized that despite everything, he no longer completely trusted her. Joss (Eden McCoy) tried to find Dex (Evan Hofer) and did. The two made love but she thought they could return to Port Charles and he had to set her straight that this was the last time they could be together — he had to disappear. John ran into Scott (Kin Shriner) and the talked about losing Karen and dealing with Sonny.

Dante tried to play peacemaker between John and Sonny but it was no use. Sonny confronted John, trying to make him hit him so he could force him to be transferred out of town. Brook Lynn reassured Chase she didn’t want him to sign the prenup but if he did, she wanted him to make sure he read it first. Lois has it out with Tracy and made her realize how badly BLQ wanted to wear Lila’s wedding gown. Tracy relented and gave it to her granddaughter to wear for her wedding. Finn and Elizabeth discussed their future, both happy right where they were at the moment. Michael (Chad Duell) told Joss that Dex was needed at home, which she told him after he told her couldn’t go back to Port Charles.

Felicia (Kristina Wagner) confessed to Maxie that it was her idea, not Spinelli’s, to move in and help her with her finances. Maxie forgave her but not Spinelli. Felicia advised her daughter to not let fear stop her from opening her heart to him. Anna (Finola Hughes) and John hashed out their differences in their turf war. Dante told them he realized Sonny and Selina were making moves. Sonny and Spinelli looped Ava into their plan to bring Sonny’s enemy down to his knees. As the member of a third crime family, Ava talked her way into the meeting, upsetting Selina. Drew went all out for his daughter’s birthday. Kristina brought Blaze, who remembered Danny’s (Asher Antonyzyn) name — thrilling him. Jake (Hudson West) was excited to meet her too. Kristina and Blaze announced their relationship. Jake busted Danny vaping. When he wouldn’t give it back, Danny attacked him but Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) arriving broke it up. Michael told Carly he told Joss to bring Dex back to town.

Week Ahead

Coming up, Jason’s (Steve Burton) return is the undercurrent in almost everything going on. Sonny and Selina’s meeting is interrupted while Joss and Dex are in a frantic situation — is it connected? Sonny continues to antagonize John and later reconnects with Olivia. Later, Sonny and Ava share a loaded moment.
