General Hospital fans were shocked at the end of the February 2 episode when Anna finally recognized the FBI agent helping her bring down one of the bad guys. He was Jagger Cates, the long-ago Port Charles resident originally played by Antonio Sabato Jr.
PC’s Jagger Has Been Recast
Adam Harrington is playing this new version of Jagger. While Harrington is new to soaps, he is not new to television and has appeared on a variety of primetime series, including S.W.A.T., Station 19, NCIS, Bosch, and most recently, The Lincoln Lawyer. According to IMDB, he even has a Master’s degree in marine biology.
When we first saw Jagger outside Bobbie’s talking to Carly (Laura Wright), he mentioned he once worked there so we knew he had to be someone from the Port Charles past. Before we even knew who he was, we learned that Jagger had a grown autistic son, as he was able to immediately bond with Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) autistic child, Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda).
Jagger first arrived on the Port Charles scene more than 30 years ago in 1992 and immediately fell for Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) daughter, Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne), but Scott didn’t know she was his daughter at the time.
His brother, Michael ‘Stone’ Cates (Michael Sutton), soon arrived in town as well and began an ill-fated romance with Robin Scorpio. Jagger and Karen had already left town by the time Stone died from AIDS in 1995.
We have yet to discover what Jagger’s life outside Port Charles is like now and who he is with, but we can’t wait to soon find out.
