Here’s How Baby Ace Can Solve THIS GH Storyline With One Coo

Here’s who should raise Esme and Nik’s adorable little boy.

Baby Ace showed up on General Hospital recently. Unfortunately for the big-eyed tot, his mom, Esme, is presumed dead. And his dad, Nikolas, who temporarily kidnapped him, will be going to prison for that other kidnapping he did. Also, Big Brother Spencer, who wanted to play Daddy to Ace from the start, went overboard with Esme. That just leaves Grandma Laura and Great-Uncle Kevin to take in the boy. (Surely, no one would suggest giving custody to Crazy Nana Heather…would they?) But we have a better idea.

Been There, Done That

Laura (Genie Francis) may not have raised Nikolas (Adam Huss). And she was in a coma for most of Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) childhood. She did play Mom to Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) for most of his growing-up years. And then, she had custody of Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). Our point is that Laura has done her time in the child-rearing trenches. Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), on the other hand, neither raised his daughter, Livie, nor any other wayward children who came his way. He may want the experience. But is he really up for it? The man has just been conked on the head by a vase shaped like a toilet. Let him recover.

Back-Up Plan

You know who hasn’t raised any kids — but would suddenly really like to? Molly (Kristen Vaganos, who you can learn more about here). Molly suddenly desperately needs to have a baby with TJ (Tajh Bellow), to the point where they first hired a surrogate who allegedly miscarried and then graciously allowed Kristina (Kate Mansi) to carry a baby for them. But we suspect Kristina will change her mind sooner rather than later. And before we’re forced to endure more weeks of Molly whining, why not have her raise Baby Ace?

Happy Ending

Ace gets a mom and dad young enough to keep up with a toddler. Molly and TJ get to be parents. Kristina gets to keep her child and raise it as Ace’s cousin. Everybody is happy. And, like all of the good people of Port Charles, forever will be.
